road trip + life update!
hi guys! sorry for the radio silence lately –– lots has been going on! thought i'd give a little life update :)
we stopped in Salt Lake City, Utah + Denver, Colorado + Tulsa, Oklahoma & then made it down to Dallas the last day. Nick was the best man in his best friend's wedding the following day, & then two days later we drove back up & made the same stops on the way! overall, it was about a 5,000 mile road trip. lottttts of time spent in the car, but worth every second!
i can't even stress how thankful + excited i am that Nick & I live in the same city now - it honestly still feels surreal. a lot of people probably have no idea that we have even been dating long distance the last 10 months because we're together so much, but we've really been living 2,000 miles apart! in the beginning, we had a couple stints of not seeing each other for a good 30 days in a row (which felt like forever and was the hardest thing), but most of our relationship has consisted of spending 2+ weeks together at a time & traveling the world + country together. seriously - 5 countries + 12 states in the last 10 months!
we're both freelance photographers & he does design + web (+ lots of other things that i couldn't imagine doing, & is the most talented, for real), but we've been able to travel together & work together our entire relationship & have some big projects in the works currently, now that we're finally in the same place permanently! so stay tuned for that, you won't wanna miss it!
& now, without further adieu, here are some photos from the road trip!
guys! the maven hotel was AMAZING. please please check it out if you're ever in the Denver area. the lobby was a dream & our room had a pourover bar & we had the prettiest balcony. loved our stay here & totally want to head back here soon! check out my IG POST if you'd like to see their feed tagged & take a look :)
& that's about it! we drove back up to PDX & headed off to amsterdam right away. blog post on that coming soon! we got to spend a full 7 days there & experience the whole city in a new way than i ever have anywhere else. definitely a favorite for us both!
