CBD: The Benefits


Let’s talk about CBD! I’ve been trying it out over the last 4 months or so & wanted to wait to share about it until I could tell if I was noticing a difference & seeing benefits.

What is CBD?

The brand I’m using here is called Pacific Daze. Their hemp produces 80+ different naturally occurring phytocannabinoids (chemical compounds) with the most prominent being Cannabidiol (CBD). CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system which is the series of receptors that have been shown to regulate relaxation, pain, sleeping, mood, the immune system, memory, stress response, and other important functions…


What will happen when I take CBD?

CBD is totally THC free, has no psychoactive effect, and will not get you high. You don’t feel any immediate difference in demeanor, in my opinion, but around 20-30 minutes later start to notice that your headache is going away or other pain is lessening.



What are the benefits?

My findings —

I struggle with a lot of back, neck, hip & knee pain (quick shoutout to my 9-year long distance running career) & started off taking the Drops in my water, tea & smoothies. It adds a touch of orange flavoring!

I wasn’t noticing a drastic difference during the day using a few drops, so I started using an entire dropper. I also will do a full dropper & let it sit under my tongue for 10 seconds before swallowing it & I’ve found that’s very helpful!

I picked up the capsules & have started taking them daily & will report back on how that’s going in a month or so but truly, I took one earlier for a headache/nausea & in 25 minutes I felt fine. SO much better to be treating frequent pains with a plant-based supplement instead of Ibuprofen which can come along with adverse side effects & long-term issues + diseases for your kidneys.
